AUSTRALIA’S HEALTHY WEIGHT WEEK TAKES A BREAK, AND SMART EATING WEEK TAKES OVER

Every year around February, the Dieticians Association of Australia launches the ‘Australia’s Healthy Weight Week’ initiative, which is early enough in the year to still capture the magic of ‘New Year’s Resolutions’ made by people.

The aim of the initiative is to get people thinking differently about what they eat, how they can prepare fabulously healthy and tasty meals, and how to best manage their dietary requirements over the long term. The program generally runs during the early weeks of February, and the website is choc-full of downloadable recipes, media kits for those wanting to be Hosts and get involved. However, the program has decided to take a break for 2018.

This year the Accredited Practicing Dietitians, supported by the Dieticians Association of Australia, are hosting the Smart Eating Week during 12-18 February 2018. The focus is around ‘working smarter, not harder’, when it comes to eating habits and changes.

The Smart Eating Week website is designed to help you on your journey to better weight management through smarter eating, by providing various support material such as recipes, a ‘Fast Facts’ section for the family, ‘Smart Eating’ trends and advice, as well as a way to sign-up to their newsletter for further information.

Another underlying aim of the program, and one that is quite important, is that you do not have to do this alone. Most people when trying to lose weight will fail because they do not have the support or guidance to make sure they are doing the right thing. This will lead them to quit because they are either not seeing the results they want, or it has just become too difficult and inconvenient. That’s where the support of a trained and accredited dietician will help.

Here are some cool facts about dieticians:

When you come to Life Weight Loss Centre, our accredited dieticians will create a post-operation dietary plan that will ensure maximum success through your weight loss journey. Regular check-ups will be required to ensure your dietary requirements are being met and will also be adjusted accordingly.
