Dr Durmush is committed to excellence, ongoing patient care, professional development, research and education.

After following patients carefully over the years, it became clear to him that they could achieve permanent results and could even lose all their excess weight if guided properly, involved in exercise programs and followed by a team of health professionals.

Qualifications

Completed his initial surgical training and obtained his first endoscopic surgical experience (more than 600 operations) in Germany, where he also obtained the Arzt fuer Chirurgie degree

• Retrained in General Surgery in Australia and New Zealand between 1990-1994 and qualified with F.R.A.C.S
• Became a Fellow of the Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery in 2003
• Immense experience in laparoscopic surgery having performed over 6000 laparoscopic operations
• Trained in obesity surgery at Monash University in Melbourne in 2000 and Mercy Bariatric Centre in Perth.
• Member of International Federation for Surgery of Obesity (IFSO)
• Member of Obesity Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (OSSANZ)
