About the centre

LWLC is a centre of excellence for treatment of any obesity related problem with a unique holistic approach; hence the name, ‘Complete Care’.

• The centre is directed by experienced laparoscopic surgeon Dr Ertugrul Kemal Durmush
• We are a group of health professionals with special interest in obesity problems and committed to ongoing patient care and support.
• The centre is located at Level 4, 171 Bigge Street, Liverpool, consisting of an obesity centre and state of the art gym, which is supported by bariatric surgeons, physicians, dieticians, psychologists, bariatric assessors, exercise physiologists, personal trainer, financial advisors and pathology services.
• Cosmetic surgery, if required, is also performed by Dr Durmush
• Patient information nights and seminars are also held at the centre
• The centre is comprised of 400m2 internal area and 720m2 in total, including terraces where group therapies and gym activities will be held
• Consultations can be held at LWLC as well as at Fairfield and Sydney City
• Surgery can be performed in Liverpool, Fairfield and Holroyd Private Hospital

Dr Durmush is committed to excellence, ongoing patient care, professional development, research and education.

After following patients carefully over the years, it became clear to him that they could achieve permanent results and could even lose all their excess weight if guided properly, involved in exercise programs and followed by a team of health professionals. Hence, he founded Life Weight Loss Centre accordingly.

Qualifications

Completed his initial surgical training and obtained his first endoscopic surgical experience (more than 600 operations) in Germany, where he also obtained the Arzt fuer Chirurgie degree

• Retrained in General Surgery in Australia and New Zealand between 1990-1994 and qualified with F.R.A.C.S
• Became a Fellow of the Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery in 2003
• Immense experience in laparoscopic surgery having performed over 6000 laparoscopic operations
• Trained in obesity surgery at Monash University in Melbourne in 2000 and Mercy Bariatric Centre in Perth.
• Member of International Federation for Surgery of Obesity (IFSO)
• Member of Obesity Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (OSSANZ)
